In this case, the client requested EPA zones in a laboratory located in a modern office building. With a raised and insulted floor, the decision was made to create two “islands” with a double-layer ESD carpet connected to ground with a 1Mohm cable. No structural intervention was required, and the carpet was secured using technical double-sided adhesive and complemented with a perimeter edge to facilitate the movement of personnel and the rolling of chair wheels.
