In accessing critical E.P.A. (Electrostatic Protected Area) zones, cleaning the soles of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety shoes is vital for a correct outcome of their antistatic test.

The washable decontamination mat retains the dirt carried by shoes from operators before they reach the two test stations for ESD shoes and bracelets.

Cleaning, scheduled according to traffic needs, number of shifts, etc., ensures the mat becomes immediately active and operational again.

Technical note: The customer had to carry out a prior “smoothing” of the area affected by the placement of the decontamination mat to ensure that the dry adhesives adhered correctly, as the initial anti-slip roughness (for safety reasons) did not provide proper and sufficient adhesion.
